Official music video for "Higher Hats" by E*Rock from The Clock & The Mountain (Audio Dregs 2010). Directed by Elizabeth Jeager.
"SPACE Gallery in Portland, Maine is pleased to present Pulled: A Book Release Party and Exhibition August 10 through September 16, 2011. The book is a collection by Brooklyn based artist Mike Perry's: A Catalog of Screen Printing presents a diverse scope of prints from over forty of the most dynamic contemporary designers today."
"It's a commercial thing for Levis - basically a celebration of bicycle riding and campaign to encourage bicycle commuting. There'll be a cross-country tour in a bio-deisel vehicle, helmed by a bike mechanic and a tailor, that will offer free bike tuning and bike clothing customization in cities and small towns. It's timed to promote the release of a new pair of hi-tech Levi's jeans, especially made for bike riding."
"Anyway! The van will also be giving out, and sewing on, embroidered patches designed by artists from select cities. The idea is that each artist visually reps their city's bike community, so the patch includes some obvious reference to their city. The patches will be offered for free to anyone along the route."
Moon Duo's remix of E*Rock's "False Fortress" got a double premier today on 20 Jazz Funk Greats and Altered Zones! Of course, Moon Duo's treatment is extra psychedelic, steeped in that fuzzed out guitar tone that I love; and two of the best blogs in this galaxy giving it support sweetens the deal that much more.
"Moon Duo’s remix of E*Rock's "False Fortress" crawls into your space like a gloomy outtake from that undisclosed (and perchance made-up) Neubauten/Throbbing Gristle country collaboration before accelerating into "Opa Loka" at 45rpm/Finders Keepers dodgy Z Series psychedelic erotica territory. The rhythm is perfectly synchronised with the upwards/downwards thrust of a ritual blade slashing into the fabric of reality to reveal the hidden sexual neuroses of that foolish New Age community that chose to locate its geodesic dome on the hallowed grounds of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary." --20 Jazz Funk Greats

ZZ Tapes is a collaborative project by E*Rock and Yoni Kifle (who incidentally plays guitar on the upcoming E*Rock album as well), and this is a remix they did for fellow Portland musician and friend Dragging An Ox Through Water for the Japanese release of his album The Tropics of Phenomenon (Sweet Dreams 2010). The re-release of the album has some pretty non-standard remixes by Grouper and Tara Jane O'Neal as well as some pretty great artwork and packaging. I have no idea if this is available in the US, but I thought I'd share this track. We had a good time making it, gun shot snares and stomping boots on the floor for a scary Floyd type beat; maybe you can grab if from a DAOTW live show?
I already posted this on the Future Legend site, but its pertinent to Audio Dregs/Fry Beat as its a new collab project between E*Rock and Bobby Birdman (aka The Wet Ones). Also, I'm not tired of this track yet.
